“There are three types of baseball players: those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened.”

“There may be people that have more talent than you, but there is no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.”

Coach Gawrych

Instructor

I grew up in Northern Virginia where I played my little league ball through high school baseball. After graduating from high school, I received a full scholarship to play for the University of Michigan where we won the Big Ten Championship as well as participated in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

After completing my playing career, I immediately began my coaching career as the head coach at Kathleen High school in Lakeland, Florida. In all, I coached high school for over 20 years winning several district championships and Regional championships,. In 2015, I became an assistant coach at the University of Tampa where I worked with hitters and infielders. We won the National chapionship in 2015. I retired after the 2016 season and began my journey in ministry.

I have been married to my wife, Keri, for 38 years and we have two sons, Ryan and Zach, who both played baseball at the college level. Ryan played at Saint Leo University and Zach played at the University of Tampa where they won a National championship in 2013. Keri and I are now the proud grndparents of eight grandchildren!
